Fox News / Dow Jones Newswires: Chalco Delays SouthGobi Bid by 30 Days

Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd. will get an extra month to make a more than $920 million offer to buy a controlling stake in Mongolia-focused coal miner SouthGobi Resources Ltd. from Ivanhoe Mines Ltd., the Chinese and Canadian miners said in a joint statement Tuesday. Chalco and Ivanhoe have agreed to extend the time for the Chinese aluminum giant to make a takeover bid for up to 60% of SouthGobi Resources to not later than Aug. 3, from the original plan of not later than July 5, the statement said. To read the full article, click hereChalco Delays SouthGobi Bid by 30 Days
