The Wall Street Journal: Mongolia Arrests Former President

Mongolia arrested a former president on corruption charges following a standoff between his bodyguards and police during a dawn raid of his compound. Citing an Associated Press report, The Wall Street Journal said law enforcement tried to detain Enkhbayar Nambar on Thursday, but his bodyguards whisked him into a compound during the night, setting up a standoff that ended with the dawn raid. The Journal couldn’t reach Enkhbayar through his political party.
