Lenz Blog: Announcement on Japan – Mongolia EPA negotiations

Mongolian Prime Minister Batbold is visiting Japan this week. He has met with Japanese Prime Minister Noda yesterday. As a result, there was a joint announcement published. The main question addressed is opening of negotiations on a “Economic Partnership Agreement”. The declaration has this to say about that point: “Reaffirming the desire of further strengthening and developing their economic and commercial relations on the basis of mutual benefit, coupled with the celebration of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan, the two leaders hereby decided that the governments of the two countries should enter into negotiations on the Mongolia – Japan Economic Partnership Agreement as soon as possible”. To read the full article, click hereAnnouncement on Japan – Mongolia EPA negotiations
